TGC 7: July 20-24, 2009

"We-have-to-have-a-second-week…" said Colin Smith, following a great week at the 7th Annual Camp. A 15-year-old, Colin was a third-year counselor this year, who has only missed one year of the camp since its beginning in 2003. He quickly went on to say, "Have Rhys send me the video clips of the day, and I will make a video and powerpoint and talk to Kiwanis and Rotary to raise the money." Colin has lots of camper-generated video to draw on, including: the Rock gym, Contra dancing, hair and nail care, Ironwood golf, Cowpen Lake tubing, Otter Springs, Vivian Filer’s storytelling at the Cotton Club, Itchetucknee Springs, Downtown Farmers’ Market, making individual pizzas in a Dominos kitchen, dynamic running at the UF track with retired professor P.J. Van Blokland, tennis instruction, more storytelling, swimming at the 300 Club… AND kickball. Any disappointments? "Couldn’t find time for Capture The Flag". You'll have to see it to believe it -- luckily the camper-produced 2009 Clips of the Day! bring back all of the highlights for you, once again!
